image013The 20th edition of "Project Lebanon", to be held in Beirut BIEL (Beirut International Exhibition & Leisure Center) from 02 to 05 June 2015, promises to be more innovative than ever and will cover the following areas: construction, energy (Energy Lebanon, 5th edition), and environment (Ecorient, 4th edition).

The event will allow for unique face-to-face networking opportunities with a high quality audience and enable participants to establish new contacts, renew existing partnerships, and explore new business opportunities.

Dubai plans to double size of power plant

image014Dubai Electricity & Water Authority awarded a contract to build a 200-megawatt plant which will be completed in April 2017. The project is expected to produce some of the world’s cheapest electricity. Dubai plans to build 1,000 megawatts of solar capacity by 2030 so as to reduce reliance on natural gas as its main source of energy for local use. Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi are also developing renewable energy as Gulf countries try to reduce their reliance on oil.

Frequency of Etihad Flights to Increase

image015Etihad Airways, one of the world’s leading premium airline brands, intends to increase the frequency on its routes from the Belgian Capital to 14 flights per week, six more than at present. Etihad operates international flights on five continents from its main hub at Abu Dhabi International Airport. In 2013, the airline carried 12 million passengers.

Emirates to introduce A380 on Dubai-Brussels route

image017Just as Etihad, which announces an increased frequency on its routes from Brussels, Emirates, one of the best airlines in the world, welcomes an ever increasing number of passengers.

In September, 2014, Emirates marked its inaugural flight to Brussels in Belgium. Less than 3 months later, it announced the introduction of a larger aircraft – Boeing 777 with 360 seats - on its Dubai-Brussels route to meet surging demand. As demand continues to grow, Emirates could increase its daily flights to two or opt for an Airbus A380, a giant aircraft offering a capacity of 517 seats in a three-class layout.
