On this occasion, the Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce took advantage of its privileged relationship with Arab Embassies and, in this particular case, with the Embassy of Kuwait, to give the participants the chance to meet in person with the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait, HE Albudaiwi, to find out more about the various business opportunities offered by Kuwait prior to the Mission, and to receive a personalized answer to their specific questions/needs.

They thus had the pleasure to invite Belgian entrepreneurs to a private cocktail reception hosted by HE Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Kingdom of Belgium, at His Residence on 19 February 2019.

Indeed, who else than HE Albudaiwi, Ambassador of Kuwait to Belgium, could better give them an overview of trade, economic, and investment opportunities that Kuwait has on offer.

During his presentation, Mr. Ambassador pointed out the wonderful relationship between Kuwait and Belgium. He also highlighted the fact that trade is something that the Kuwaiti people have in their blood.

Kuwait is pursuing a programme of economic diversification. “We are also investing in huge mega project in different sector, like electricity, water, housing, health, transport, communication, tourism media and environment,” said HE Albudaiwi.

He thus addressed a direct message to the participants of the upcoming Belgian Economic Mission: “we would like you to be there to help us out in our efforts to diversify our economy”.

Mrs. Evelien STAELENS, deputy director for Middle East and North Africa - FIT, explained that 25 Belgian companies will take part to the Economic Mission and that, among others, the delegation would explore the following sectors: sport, entertainment, construction, and urban development.

To close this private meeting Mr. Qaisar Hijazin, Secretary General of the ABLCC, underlined the fact that Kuwait was last ranked at AAA with stable outlook. He then warmly thanked HE Albudaiwi for his generous hospitality.
